Lawson's Blessing Day

We were able to bless Lawson this past Sunday, October 17th. It was such a perfect day because we got to share it was lots of the family! Travis' entire family was able to make it out from Colorado as well as the Andersons from Wyoming, lots of the Sainsbury's family, and all the cousins out here at BYU. Thank you all for making it such a special day for us and our little Lawson! We love you all!

Dallin's place in Espanola

As I was taking pictures, Dallin commented that I just took more pictures than he did his entire mission. Don't know if that is true, so just in case, I took pictures of his room so that he could have some picture of his mission. His companion is Elder Day. He was telling me that he feels trunky too. Then he told me that he still has 21 months left on his mission.

I am so not good at posting. My computer will only publish one picture at a time and I keep back spacing and deleting the picture I just put on. So I will do one more pic tonight and maybe try a couple more tomorrow. Another funny thing. I told Dallin that I would post these pictures on "sobremesa". He, like other grandkids, had this puzzled look on his face. He at least now knows spanish and wanted to know what "over table" meant.

Sneak Peek of Dallin

Got the opportunity to see Dallin. Marlo and I drove down to go to the temple and on the way home stopped in Espanola to pick up some of Dallin's things. Planned to only stop for a couple minutes and not disturb him, but it was Dallin and he is an Anderson. We talked and talked. His area is a tad bit scary. His companion carries a knife just in case. The funny thing was that he has it all taped up so he won't hurt himself. I had to chuckle. He's doing great and looks great and, according to his companion, has been trunky for the past couple weeks. When we finally got in the car we had been there an hour and a half. Hope you enjoys these sneak peek pics of Elder Anderson.

General Conference Weekend

Brenton and Summer were down for the weekend, and came over to visit between Saturday sessions, and stayed for lunch and the afternoon session. So good to visit with them, and see Summer's little tummy! A future Anderson second cousin for Matt & Jaime's kids to play with!
Travis, Katelyn, and Lawson came too, but got away before we got the camera out, too bad for us!
Alicia and McKay came to visit also, and we enjoyed them! Grandma Anderson came out with Kammi Sowards to their Paraguay Mission Reunion Friday evening before Conference. Melanee attended it with her in Murray, and we both had a really nice time eating, meeting and visiting with about 30 of their missionaries. We sang "The Light Divine", and Grandma made some great comments, including sharing excerpts from Nick's letters! Several missionaries told Melanee what fine presidents they had been, and even quoted some advice Grandad had given them before they left, that they had treasured!
Rachel carved a great ghost on the surface of her pumpkin! For some reason, it was a Green Ghost.....
Girls Night crafting while the men attended priesthood meeting! Marissa was responsible for finding and sharing this pumpkin etching idea. Aren't we creative!

Grandma and Julie were proud of their creations! October Conference weekend seems to usher in the true end of summer and beginning of Fall......

so...highschool! :)

Homecoming is different here in Utah, as opposed to what i understand colorado's homecoming dance is. Its not stag, everyone gets a date, and its a huge deal!!
pretty much homecoming has consumed my life for the past few weeks but it was so much fun! we decked the school out like neverland which was awesome! the school really did look like you were on the peter pan ride at disneyland! so after 20+ hours being at the school decorating, the school was transformed!

This pirate ship is about 30 feet tall. it was ridiculous to set up, but super cool haha

This is Big ben, which counted down the days to homecoming

This was the main entrance of the school. Its the nursery, and probably my favorite set up! our theme was forever young, and what better place to stay FOREVER YOUNG then neverland??

This was in the jungle hall. Making this tree was crazy tough, but so worth it. there's a bench in the tree, where kids would all hang out. Anyways these are just some of the decorations we did. hopefully not too boring, but i wanted to show you all whats been going on down in good ol' salem hills high school haha

oh...nearly forgot. somehow i got 2nd attendant in the homecoming royalty, and it was super funny cuz during half time, we all rode out in our fancy dresses on segways. we had to wear helmets though, so we all look like dorks haha but thats what highschool is for right?

well anyways...its my senior year! i'm lovin life! and homecoming was amazing!!!

Marissa out :D
